| UCONN ALUMNI MAGAZINE WINS IN TWO COMPETITIONS

Creative Services Group’s design of the University of Connecticut School of Social Work alumni magazine, Interaction, has been acknowledged with a Gold award from the 22nd Annual Admissions Advertising Awards. The Annual Admissions Advertising Awards is the largest educational advertising awards competition in the U.S., with entries from all 50 states and several foreign countries. It recognizes the best in the admissions marketing and advertising field.
Interaction was also honored with an American Graphic Design Award. The annual competition sponsored by Graphic Design USA and Adobe Systems, Inc. receives over 10,000 entries and recognizes excellence in advertising work of all kinds, from print to broadcast to internet and interactive design.
Director of Alumni Relations, Reesa Olins, said about the new magazine, “We feel that the new look reflects who we are as a school and as a community — people who are diverse, energetic, and even a bit colorful!” Interaction was printed on Options recycled paper from Mohawk Fine papers, a manufacturer well-known in the industry for its strong commitment to the environment.
Kim Barker Craven, President of Creative Services Group, who recently attended the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) Institute for Integrated Marketing and Branding, said “We’ve enjoyed working with The University of Connecticut for years, winning many awards on their behalf. This publication captures the spirit of diversity which defines the School of Social Work. And the fact that it is printed on recycled paper helps reinforce the school’s core values as well as our own.”
